The INFOTRAFIC Center within the General Inspectorate of the Romanian Police informs that, currently, there are no national roads or highways with traffic stopped due to accidents. However, dense fog conditions reduce visibility to below 200 meters in the counties of Arad, Bihor, Brăila, Caraș-Severin, Călărași, Constanța, Dolj, Giurgiu, Hunedoara, Mehedinți, Olt, Sălaj, Teleorman, and Timiș, while in some areas visibility drops even below 50 meters, which can favor the formation of ice. In the counties of Bacău, Galați, Tulcea, Vaslui, and Vrancea, mixed precipitation causes the formation of ice on the roadway, hindering traffic. On major road arteries, such as A1, A2, and DN 1, traffic is flowing under good conditions. The police recommend drivers to reduce speed, ensure optimal visibility, and maintain distance between vehicles. Pedestrians are advised to avoid the roadway in conditions of reduced visibility and to cross roads with caution.
