Diana Buzoianu, the Minister of the Environment, stated on Digi24 that the black snow in Bucharest is a symbol of pollution in the city, which comes from traffic, uncontrolled construction sites, and illegal burning. She emphasized that this pollution affects the health of the residents, reaching their lungs, even though it is not visible daily.

Buzoianu mentioned that, although there have been improvements in air quality, the problem remains serious, and Bucharest is fined annually for lacking a pollution management plan. The Minister highlighted the importance of complying with environmental legislation and has increased inspections and fines to protect public health. She also called on the mayors of Bucharest to develop effective plans to combat pollution, emphasizing that this issue has been neglected for years.
