The violent storms from Tuesday night to Wednesday caused the death of two people in Albania, where an electrician died in Himara while trying to repair a power line. Three other people were hospitalized due to injuries caused by falling trees. In North Macedonia, strong winds injured over 30 people, and gusts reached 134 km/h in Stip.

Authorities received over 9,000 emergency calls, and in Skopje, 100 vehicles were damaged. In Bosnia and Herzegovina, the damage to crops is estimated at millions of marks, and farmers are facing total losses. In Croatia, the Adriatic coast was affected by rain and wind, but without significant damage. Scientists warn that extreme weather phenomena will become more frequent due to global warming.
