The firefighters from Brad intervened to extinguish a violent fire that engulfed a wooden cabin in the locality of Crișcior, Hunedoara.
Two fire trucks, a first intervention and command vehicle, as well as a SMURD ambulance were mobilized to the scene. Upon arrival, the cabin, with an area of approximately 35 square meters, was completely engulfed in flames.
The intervention was complicated by the impractical access road for fire trucks, which had to remain one kilometer away. Firefighters transported equipment manually and used pumps powered from three nearby wells to extinguish the fire. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.
The probable cause of the fire was an electrical short circuit, and ISU warns about the risks generated by improvisations in electrical installations, which are common in such incidents. Firefighters recommend that citizens avoid such practices to prevent fires.
