The weather forecast for December, issued by the ANM, indicates lower temperatures than the average for the period 2004-2023, with precipitation deficiencies, especially in western and north-western regions. There is a chance of snow on Christmas and New Year's Eve in the mountains, but snow is unlikely in Bucharest. The forecast is made by ECMWF and short-lived extreme events cannot be forecast.
