Daniel Băluță, the president of PSD Bucharest and the mayor of Sector 4, announced that tickets for STB will not increase, contrary to the proposal of the general mayor Ciprian Ciucu. Băluță emphasized that discouraging public transport is not a solution in a crowded city and stated that Romanians can no longer tolerate budget cuts. Criticizing Ciucu's leadership style, Băluță mentioned that he is not his enemy, but merely a political opponent.
He also addressed the financial issues of Bucharest, explaining that the accumulated debts are the result of technical decisions, not of the sectors. During the interview, Băluță also discussed a situation of arsenic and mercury poisoning that affected his health.
