Dani Mocanu, a known manele singer, was definitively sentenced to four years in prison for attempted murder and disturbing public peace, along with his brother, Nando. The decision was made by magistrates following a violent conflict on August 18, 2022, when the two brothers, together with other individuals, assaulted two men, causing them serious injuries, including a skull fracture. In March, the Argeș Tribunal sentenced Dani Mocanu to 5 years and 9 months in prison, while his brother received 6 years and 4 months. Additionally, the court ordered the two to pay moral damages of 14,000 euros and medical expenses to the victims. The sentence can be appealed within 10 days.
