The Court of Appeal in Naples has approved the extradition of Dani Mocanu and his brother to Romania. The decision of the Court of Appeal is not final.

The Court of Appeal in Naples admitted, on Tuesday, the request of the Romanian Ministry of Justice regarding the extradition of brothers Daniel and Ionuț Nando Mocanu, who have been definitively sentenced to prison for attempted murder. 

The manele singer and his brother have been placed under house arrest by the Court of Appeal in Naples, after being apprehended on November 10, 2025, in the Italian province.

The decision of the Court of Appeal in Naples is not final, as there is the possibility of an appeal to the supreme court in Italy, in accordance with the legislation in force.

"The ruling issued by the Italian court represents an important success for Romanian justice, confirming the effectiveness of international judicial cooperation in criminal matters and the good collaboration between the judicial authorities of Romania and those of the Italian Republic," states the Ministry of Justice.
