A serious incident occurred at the railway crossing on Petricani Road, where a car was caught between the barriers as a train was approaching.
Journalist Cosmin Stan reported on social media that, after a long wait, the barriers lifted, and the first car in the queue entered the railway, only for the barriers to come down again, leaving the car stuck on the tracks. Fortunately, the train passed on a free line. Stan emphasized that this incident highlights a safety issue, not just a traffic one.
Representatives of CFR SA stated that such incidents are caused by drivers who do not respect traffic rules, entering the railway before the barrier is fully raised. The rules are essential, especially on Line 800, where over 100 trains operate daily.
