The notices for Voineag and Florența have been postponed for the third time by CSM. Negative verdict for Marinela Mincă / Marius Ionel Ștefan, favorably advised.

The Prosecutors' Section of the Superior Council of Magistracy (CSM) gave a negative opinion on the proposal to appoint Marinelei Mincă as deputy chief prosecutor of the National Anticorruption Directorate, with a vote of 1 to 5. In contrast, Marius Ionel Ștefan received a favorable opinion, with 5 votes in favor and 1 against, for the same position.

"The Prosecutors' Section of the Superior Council of Magistracy has favorably endorsed the proposal of the Minister of Justice to appoint Mr. MARIUS-IONEL ȘTEFAN as deputy chief prosecutor of the National Anticorruption Directorate, a prosecutor within this specialized structure. (majority: 5 votes yes, 1 vote no)," informs CSM.

CSM also voted on the case of the current head of DNA, Marius Voineag, and the Attorney General Alex Florența, but the result was a tie, without a clear decision. Both proposals were included on the agenda of a future meeting, each having 3 votes in favor and 3 against.

It is the third time that the opinions for the two have been postponed.

These decisions reflect the tensions and divergences within the CSM regarding appointments to key positions in the judiciary.

CSM has given favorable opinions for other appointments but rejected the proposals for Cristina Chiriac and Gil Julien Grigore Iacobici.
