Cristian Ghinea, an important strategist of USR, is asking Ilie Bolojan to dismiss the Minister of Justice, Cătălin Predoiu, citing a recent report from Recorder that highlights serious problems in the Romanian judicial system. Ghinea accuses Predoiu of modifying justice laws in favor of a cartel of interests and of proposing the appointment of Voineag to head the DNA, a controversial figure.
He emphasizes that Predoiu is responsible for the dismantling of the SIJ without leaving a research body, which has led to a stagnation in the fight against corruption. Ghinea states that justice has disappeared from the public agenda, and high-level corruption cases are systematically buried. The Recorder report, which lasted over a year and a half, details how the judicial system has been captured by political interests and groups of magistrates, highlighting the need for urgent reform.
