The former head of the Constanța South Border Customs Office, Octavian Lică Parfenie, and his deputy, Christian Gudu, were detained by the DNA for 24 hours for committing the crime of bribery in a continuous form.
According to the investigation, Parfenie allegedly requested amounts of money between 100 and 350 euros for each imported container, promising to facilitate customs formalities. Between December 2025 and March 2026, he allegedly received through an intermediary a total sum of 15,100 euros. Gudu was involved in two of these situations.
The two will be presented to the Bucharest Tribunal for a proposal for preventive detention for 30 days, and the DNA continues investigations and is looking into other individuals involved in this case.
