Extensive checks at Elias Hospital in the Capital: several doctors are suspected of having worked privately during their state working hours.

The Minister of Health, Alexandru Rogobete, has expanded inspections at Elias Hospital after new information about other doctors who worked in private hospitals during their state work hours was discovered.

After the scandal of a surgeon who operated privately during the public hospital's working hours, the Minister of Health sent the Control Body for inspections at Elias Hospital. The inspections began after a doctor was caught in a video preparing for a second surgical intervention after requesting a leave that had not been approved. During the inspection, it was discovered that other doctors also leave the public hospital to work in private hospitals.

The inspections will continue until the end of the week, and the conclusions will be presented at the beginning of next week. Rogobete emphasized that there is an effort to put pressure on the system to combat this phenomenon, acknowledging that solutions cannot be implemented through words alone.
