The Association of Energy Consumers and Communities in Romania has sent an open letter to the authorities, asking for the transmission tariffs set by Transelectrica to be adjusted to reflect the energy injected by prosumers. Although other European countries have already lowered these tariffs, ANRE has refused to correct the situation, considering it 'state aid'. Prosumers generated a surplus of 1.2 TWh in 2024, locally consumed energy, but bills continue to include transportation costs estimated at €18 million. PACE emphasizes that a tariff correction could also benefit vulnerable consumers.
