The takeover of Telekom by DIGI Romania has been approved by the Competition Council, advancing the integration process. The deal, signed on October 31, 2024, is conditional on DIGI and Vodafone complying with commitments, which include spectrum integration, improving internet speeds on public roads and upgrading the MVNO offering. The approval was obtained after evaluation by the Foreign Direct Investment Review Commission.
