The Cluj-Napoca City Hall, under the leadership of Mayor Emil Boc, has decided to maintain local taxes and fees at the minimum level permitted by law, in the context of the difficult economic situation. The reductions automatically apply to individuals with severe or pronounced disabilities, as well as to properties older than 50 years. Additionally, the Government has approved an ordinance that reduces taxes on buildings, land, and vehicles. Emil Boc emphasized the importance of these measures, mentioning that over 70% of individuals with disabilities will benefit from these reductions. The new regulations will come into effect on March 16, and taxpayers who have already paid higher taxes can request a refund of the differences.
