For the first time, Hunedoara County Council has decided to grant a reward of 30% of the value of a treasure consisting of 407 Roman coins, discovered in 2023 in the locality of Șoimuș. The hoard, valued at 97,200 lei, was handed over to the museum in Deva by a man authorized with a metal detector. Thus, the discoverer will receive 29,160 lei, according to the legislation protecting national cultural heritage.
