The Citroen C3 and C3 Aircross models, developed on the Smart Car platform of the Stellantis group, are subject to a service recall for 113,031 units manufactured between April 5, 2024, and May 7, 2025. The defect consists of the inability of the assistance system to display a warning message in the event of an incorrect speed limit scan, due to errors in the software of the BCM (Body Control Module). Owners will be contacted to schedule checks, which include software updates and calibration of the front camera. The procedure takes approximately two hours and has been reported in the European alert system. Almost half of the affected vehicles are registered in France. Additionally, the C3 Aircross has been involved in another recall campaign for issues related to the braking system, which could have led to the disconnection of the brake pedal.
