Starting from September 2, 2025, the categories of persons exempt from interview for visa renewals in the USA will be significantly reduced. Only applicants for diplomatic, official visas, and certain categories of B-1, B-2 visas will benefit from this facility, provided they meet strict requirements. All others, including children under 14 and persons over 79 years old, will need an interview. Additionally, a new "visa integrity fee" of at least 250 dollars will be introduced. These measures are part of the Trump administration's policy to limit illegal immigration.
