Ordinance No 158/2005 on sick leave will undergo significant changes in 2025 in response to abuses by the Ministry of Health, where some doctors have issued hundreds of leaves in a single day. Temporary incapacity benefits will be adjusted according to the duration of the leave, and Health Minister Alexandru Rogobete announced that legislative measures will be taken to limit the granting of sick leave for common illnesses after the completion of the Control Body's report.
