The National Railway Federation Commercial Movement of Wagons warned that CFR SA is facing the risk of not being able to pay employees' salaries if the Activity and Performance Contract for the period 2026-2030 is not approved.

During a recent meeting, it was emphasized that the blockage is caused by administrative delays between state institutions, not by the employees' activity. The Ministry of Justice returned the contract draft without approval, requesting prior approval of the Railway Infrastructure Development Strategy. The union emphasized that non-payment of salaries could lead to employees refusing to continue their work, thus causing blockages in rail transport, with negative effects on the economy. Union members are calling for the intervention of the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Transport to urgently resolve this situation and ensure salary payments.
