A candidate for the Bacalaureat exam in Câmpeni, Alba County, was suspected of listening to information through a small earpiece, but managed to remain in the room after refusing the police officer's search, citing the lack of a warrant.
Cornel Sandu, the head of the Alba County School Inspectorate, stated that supervisors do not have the right to check students, which led to the continuation of the test by the suspect. Sandu acknowledged the existence of a fraud phenomenon in exams, mentioning that each year approximately 10% of candidates are eliminated for various devices.
He also proposed local jamming solutions to combat this problem. In previous years, cases of identical works have been reported, and the inspectorate has legally acted against those involved. The pass rate for the Bacalaureat in Alba was 81.39%, with six candidates eliminated for fraud, who will not be able to enroll in the next sessions.
