Bucharest has officially entered the competition to become the headquarters of the future European Union Customs Agency, with Romania presenting its candidacy to the Members of the European Parliament from the Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection (IMCO). Alexandru Nazare was the one who presented the arguments in favor of the Romanian capital, highlighting the strategic and logistical advantages that Bucharest offers. Romania's candidacy is part of efforts to strengthen the country's role in European structures and to attract investments and economic development. This initiative reflects Romania's commitment to actively contribute to the strengthening of the European Union.
