The General Council of the Capital has approved the protection of Pajiștii Petricani, a 6-hectare area in Sector 2, which includes a lake, meadow and wooded area. This protected natural area will facilitate educational and recreational activities while protecting local biodiversity, including mammal, bird and plant species. The Mayor congratulated the organizations involved in documenting the ecological value of the area and mentioned plans for other green areas in Bucharest.
