On August 16, 2025, ANM has issued a code orange heat wave for the counties of Bihor, Arad and Timis, where maximum temperatures are expected to reach 37-38 degrees and a humidity index that will exceed the critical threshold of 80 units. Other areas of the country, such as Maramureș and southern Oltenia, are also under a heatwave code yellow, with temperatures between 33 and 37 degrees. On August 17, the ANM will issue code yellow warnings for thunderstorms and heavy rain, forecasting atmospheric instability in several regions.
