BASF Agricultural Solutions strengthens its presence in Romania by hiring 50 new specialists in corporate functions and governance, according to a company statement. This initiative is part of BASF's transformation process into an independent entity, preparing for an initial public offering (IPO) by 2027. Bucharest has been chosen as a strategic location for recruitment, complementing efforts made at the headquarters in Limburgerhof, Germany.
The new teams will focus on developing the corporate capabilities necessary to operate as an independent global organization. Gabor Krasznai, Managing Director of BASF S.R.L., emphasized that Romania offers a rich pool of qualified candidates and an international business environment. The hiring will focus on financial reporting, internal audit, human resources, and procurement, with the first job announcements already published. BASF, with approximately 108,000 employees worldwide, generated sales of approximately 60 billion euros in 2025 and aims to ensure a high level of autonomy from the BASF Group through the new structure in Bucharest.
