Starting Friday, the Romanian Customs Authority has activated a new electronic system for the declaration of imported goods, which allows a fully digitized process and interconnected with European databases. This system will automate the management of customs duties and restrictions, reducing processing time and eliminating the need for paper. Finance Minister Alexandru Nazare stressed that this represents a significant improvement in administrative efficiency and will contribute to the closure of an infringement procedure by the European Commission. The new systems will simplify formalities and allow a rapid exchange of information between authorities and economic operators.
