The detectorist George Ștefan Andreescu discovered four gold bracelets, approximately 3,300 years old, in a forest in Gorj County. The pieces, weighing a total of about 36 grams, were found around a tree and are dated to the late Bronze Age, being associated with Thracian culture.

George Ștefan Andreescu, passionate about metal detecting since 2018, stated that the discovery was unexpected and handed the bracelets over to the 'Alexandru Ștefulescu' County Museum in Târgu Jiu, where they will be evaluated and proposed for classification as a Treasure of the National Cultural Heritage. His wife, Mihaela, expressed pride in her husband's achievement, highlighting the importance of the discovery for Romanian cultural heritage.
