The National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE) has introduced an order requiring electricity buyers to pay a deposit of 5% or 10% of the contract value, depending on the duration of the deliveries. The measure aims to reduce the risks of contracting without real intention to purchase, ensuring a fairer and more stable market. In addition, the contract price will no longer be subject to changes based on variations in transportation tariffs, and the minimum number of eligible partners in the continuous double-trading market will be reduced.
