The National Authority for Energy Regulation has adopted new rules aimed at eliminating speculative projects in the energy sector, by increasing financial guarantees and introducing strict deadlines for project developers. According to the president of ANRE, George Niculescu, the measures aim to block the practice of reserving capacities in the network only "on paper", without the actual realization of investments. Thus, the guarantee for issuing the Technical Connection Approval increases from 5% to 20%, and developers will also need to submit a guarantee of approximately 30,000 euros for each installed MW, to demonstrate that they have real resources for implementing energy projects.
