ANPC has modified the rules for informing consumers regarding alternative dispute resolution, aligning with European standards.

The National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC) has published an order in the Official Monitor that modifies the rules for informing consumers regarding alternative dispute resolution (ADR).

The order of the president of ANPC 270/2026 updates previous regulations to align Romania with the new European standards in the field, following the repeal of the European online dispute resolution platform (ODR). References to the ODR platform have been removed, and the national ADR system has been adapted to reflect the current legal framework.

The new form of ADR identification includes the use of the integrated electronic platform available at reclamatiisal.anpc.ro, and the corresponding icon will have dimensions of 250 x 50 pixels.

ANPC emphasizes its commitment to supporting consumers' access to quick and effective solutions for disputes with economic operators.
