ANM: High temperatures and precipitation deficit in the coming weeks

The National Meteorological Administration (ANM) forecasts for the period from June 22 to July 20 higher than normal seasonal temperatures across the country, with significant positive deviations in the west, northwest, and center.

In the week of June 22-29, the rainfall regime will be locally excessive in the southwest, but will show a deficit in the rest of the regions, especially in the north. Between June 29 and July 6, average temperatures will remain above normal, and precipitation will be deficient, with a pronounced deficit in the north, center, and mountainous areas. In the week of July 6-13, ANM estimates the continuation of high thermal values, with a deficient rainfall regime in all regions.

Finally, between July 13 and 20, temperatures will continue to exceed specific values, while precipitation will be close to the climatological normal in most areas.
