Representatives of the National Agency for Cadastre and Real Estate Publicity (ANCPI) announced on Wednesday that the institution has suffered a major cyber attack, the most serious technical incident in its history.
Starting from Tuesday, July 14, all IT systems managed by ANCPI, including email addresses and the e-Terra cadastre and land registry application, have become non-functional. Authorities estimate that the e-Terra application will not be available until the end of the current week. ANCPI expressed regret for the situation created and assured users that technical teams are working intensively to restore the systems' functionality in a safe manner.
So far, no details are available about the cause of the attack, which is being investigated by the competent institutions. ANCPI will provide updates as information becomes available.
