The National Authority for Management and Regulation in Communications (ANCOM) announced tariff measures for the National Company Romanian Post (CNPR) for the period January 1, 2025 – December 31, 2029. ANCOM proposes to maintain the tariff policy from the previous exercise, but with a revision of the indicators for the limits on tariff increases. CNPR will be able to set the tariffs, but without exceeding the maximum ceiling established by ANCOM, taking into account the consumer price index and productivity.
Additionally, CNPR must notify ANCOM about the tariffs applied by March 31 of each year, and any changes to the tariffs must be announced 30 days in advance. ANCOM will verify compliance with the tariff limits, and in the case of unjustified increases, CNPR will have to adjust the tariffs in the following year. The regulations target essential postal services, ensuring their accessibility throughout the territory of Romania.
