Finance Minister Alexandru Nazare has asked ANAF to identify and present a map of inactive and suspected fraud firms with proposed measures.

Alexandru Nazare, the Minister of Finance, said that ANAF must draw up a map of inactive, deregistered or suspected fraud firms across the country. The Court of Accounts has identified 47,000 firms at more than 2,400 suspect addresses, many of them abandoned buildings. ANAF launched Operation 'Nest of Ghosts', targeting more than 20,000 firms. Checks and legal measures follow, including fiscal inactivation and criminal referrals.
