The ANAF Anti-Fraud Directorate has started checks on companies hosting registered offices, but experts believe that this method is not effective for identifying tax risks.

ANAF has started control actions on the premises of companies that offer head office hosting services, but the criticism comes from specialists who claim that this approach is not appropriate. The CEO of CC Tax Advisory, drd. Cornelia Năstase, argues that the use of these services does not automatically indicate a tax risk and that ANAF should focus on firms with negative equity, which are more relevant indicators for assessing the financial health of businesses.
