The government has decided to maintain the current structure of the Tax Anti-Fraud Directorate within ANAF, abandoning the plan to set up county structures in 2025

ANAF's General Directorate of Anti-Fraud will remain organized only at regional level, according to an emergency ordinance adopted by the Government. Provisions for the operationalization of county structures, scheduled for July 1, 2025, have been repealed to ensure strategic coordination and avoid additional administrative costs. The ordinance also extends the mandatory use of the RO e-Factura system for certain categories until October 1, 2025.
