The head of ANAF, Adrian Nica, announced a national campaign of inspections targeting luxury car owners and event salon owners who declare a lack of activity, despite organizing weddings and christenings. ANAF inspectors will analyze the declared income in relation to wealth, including by checking social media posts and images from surveillance cameras.
Nica mentioned that, in the case of identifying tax evasion, legal measures will be applied, including the seizure of assets. The campaign is part of a broader plan to reduce tax evasion and increase transparency in relation to the business environment. ANAF collaborates with the National Anti-Corruption Directorate to intensify efforts to collect revenue for the state budget. Inspections will continue in the coming months, aiming to identify undeclared income.
