ANAF has launched a comprehensive investigation after discovering that over 200 confiscated or seized vehicles are missing from the institution's records. This discovery was made alongside the launch of the online auction platform, 'eLicitațiiANAF', which allows for the purchase of confiscated goods, including cars, apartments, and land.

Preliminary checks revealed major irregularities, and several ANAF employees are now being investigated for lack of integrity. In an official statement, ANAF mentioned that it has identified indications of non-compliant behavior and has initiated monitoring and internal analysis activities to clarify the situation.

The purpose of this action is to align the stocks of confiscated goods with the written records, to ensure transparency and correctness in the valorization process. The auction platform has had remarkable success, recording 14 million accesses on the first day after its launch.
