ANAF announces internal controls following suspicions of inappropriate behavior by employees. President Adrian Nica promises severe sanctions.

The leadership of the National Agency for Fiscal Administration (ANAF) announced that it has initiated internal checks among employees, following some integrity suspicions. These controls aim to address a possible discrepancy between the stocks of confiscated or seized goods and the situation recorded in the databases.

The President of ANAF, Adrian Nica, emphasized that any inappropriate behavior or actions that violate legal and ethical norms will be severely sanctioned.

The checks were initiated following internal reports and indications of possible non-compliant behaviors.

ANAF also proposes to align the stocks of confiscated goods with the written records, to ensure their transparency for the purpose of valorization on the platform. If major and unjustified discrepancies are found, integrity checks will be initiated, in accordance with legislation and internal procedures.

ANAF reaffirms its commitment to integrity, legality, and professionalism in carrying out its duties.
