The National Agency for Fiscal Administration (ANAF) announced the discovery of financial irregularities at Realitatea TV, including collections of over 15 million lei for electoral promotion, without corresponding real payments to suppliers. ANAF is investigating a group of companies owned by the TV station's owners, which have accumulated debts of 259 million lei to the state. The audit revealed a mechanism whereby a company in the group purchases a lot on paper but sells little, and the transactions are concentrated among entities with the same control structure. ANAF will extend its checks to all companies in the analyzed economic circuit to establish the real fiscal situation and recover outstanding obligations. The institution emphasizes its commitment to preventing budgetary damages and ensuring fair treatment for all taxpayers.
