Former Minister of Health, Alexandru Rogobete: Record inspections in health in the last 10 months

Alexandru Rogobete, the resigning Minister of Health, stated at the end of his term that, in the last 10 months, 54,447 inspections and 2,147 re-inspections were carried out in healthcare units, representing the highest number in the last decade. He emphasized the importance of continuous monitoring and disciplining of the healthcare system, stating that without these measures, the rules remain only on paper.

The results of the inspections were significant: 10,741 sanctions applied, 5,896 fines totaling 32.38 million lei, 182 suspensions of activity, and 140 withdrawals of health authorizations. Rogobete stressed that the reform of the healthcare system requires clear rules and firm interventions in case of violations, highlighting the responsibility towards patients and the necessity for the system to function correctly every day.
