Alexandru Nazare married singer Maria Mihali. The wedding godfather is the Greek Minister of Finance, Kyriakos Pierrakakis

Interim Finance Minister Alexandru Nazare married popular music singer Maria Mihali today in Bucharest. Mihali is originally from Baia Mare. The ceremony took place after approximately two years of dating, according to information published by the tabloid press.

Nazare is 46, while his bride is 30. Maria Mihali arrived at the church in a princess-style dress and carried a bouquet of peonies. On her wedding day, the artist posted the message “Marriage to the love of my life” on social media.

The couple’s wedding godfather is Kyriakos Pierrakakis, Greece’s Finance Minister and president of the Eurogroup. The Greek official met with Romania’s President, Nicușor Dan, on Friday, and his presence at the event adds a political note to a wedding attended by prominent guests.

Alexandru Nazare was previously mentioned among the possible candidates for the position of prime minister. Maria Mihali was born on April 14, 1996, and studied at Babeș-Bolyai University, where she graduated from the Faculty of Business and completed a master’s degree in Business Development Management. Although she studied Mathematics-Informatics in high school, the artist has said that popular music brings her the greatest satisfaction.
