According to the Ministry of National Defense, Romanian authorities activated alert measures for the population in the northern part of Tulcea County, sending a RO-ALERT message at 00:43, at the request of the National Military Command Center. A drone temporarily entered Romanian airspace, being monitored by radar surveillance systems, and contact was lost approximately 16 kilometers southeast of the town of Chilia Veche, above an uninhabited area. The air alert was lifted at 02:48, when the situation returned to normal. The Ministry of Defense announced that a research team is prepared to move to the area to check for possible drone fragments that may have fallen on Romanian territory. Authorities strongly condemned the attacks by the Russian Federation, considering them a threat to regional security and a violation of international law. Citizens are advised to follow the recommendations of the authorities and to monitor official information.
