On Friday morning, two unidentified objects were observed drifting in the Black Sea, which could be naval mines or unexploded ordnance, carried by currents towards the Saint George area.

In order to prevent any risk, the Tulcea Border Police has sent ground patrols to monitor the shore and limit access to individuals approaching the area. Cornel Pavel, the spokesperson for the Ministry of National Defense (MApN), did not provide further details about the current situation. It was also reported that military divers have neutralized a maritime drone of the Sea Baby type in the Black Sea, adding another element of alert in the area. The situation is being updated.
