Adrian Streinu-Cercel, the chairman of the Senate Health Committee, stated at the Profit Health.forum that the budget deficit does not concern him, emphasizing the need for investments and the utilization of Romania's natural resources. He criticized the current government for its cutting policies and compared the current situation to international financial crises. Representatives of the health industry, however, rejected his statements, arguing that the budget deficit remains the main issue in relation to the authorities.
