At a recent meeting at the Ministry of Health, doctor Adrian Abagiu highlighted that internet addiction and gambling are serious addictions that affect mental health. These have been included in the ICD guide since 2022, which underscores the importance of specialized treatment. Abagiu estimates that approximately 100,000 people are affected by these addictions, and the number of patients requiring treatment in specialized centers is much greater than the available places.
