The administrator of a commercial company in the field of metal waste recycling, R.C., along with three employees, has been placed under judicial control by the prosecutors of DNA Galați for complicity in tax evasion.

They are accused of creating a fictitious mechanism for recycling metal packaging, causing a damage of 14.8 million lei to the state budget. Between October 2023 and December 2025, R.C. allegedly requested and illegally collected sums of money from organizations that implement recycling obligations, highlighting in documents fictitious quantities of 7,404.18 tons of metal packaging.

In fact, the goods were old iron waste, exported to Turkey. The four defendants must comply with legal obligations, including not leaving the country without the prosecutors' agreement. O.I.R.E.P.s, organizations authorized by the Ministry of Environment, reimburse recycling services based on the documents presented by economic operators.
