The National Environmental Guard confiscated 33 tons of waste from unauthorized sites, in the Sintești-Jilava area.

The National Environmental Guard Ilfov, together with the Romanian Gendarmerie, organized a control action in the Sintești-Jilava area, known for the illegal burning of waste. 41 people participated in the action, including 11 commissioners from the Environmental Guard.

Diana Buzoianu, a representative of the Ministry of Environment, emphasized the importance of collaboration between institutions to combat this complex phenomenon, which affects the environment and public order. Following the inspections, two contraventional sanctions were applied, measures to halt activities were ordered, and 33 tons of illegally deposited waste were confiscated.

The Ministry of Environment reported a significant increase in control activities, with a record number of interventions and sanctions in the illegal burning sector, highlighting the authorities' commitment to tackling this issue.
