From June 16-22, a monitoring team discovered physical abuse and inhumane treatment at the Săpoca Psychiatric Hospital, including patients being beaten and restrained without justification. The hospital management launched internal investigations and police opened a criminal case. The hospital's hygiene conditions and infrastructure are poor, and patients face overcrowding and a lack of solutions for those without family. The authorities continue to investigate the situation.
